I am following the development of the AI landscape with strong interest. The potentials for making human lives easier are just as mighty and fascinating as the dangers and shadow sides of AI technologies are frightening and concerning. I also believe that day follows night and the darkest hour is close to dawn. And that we humans only think to be alpha commanders at the big levers – but get reminded again and again since the dawn of humanity that there is something else at the helm, far mightier and smarter than we are. So little modest me of course has no capacity either to predict anything. To know for sure whether Gaia is really about to liberate herself from the infestation called humans. Or if we get another chance and get it right once again, in time. Big part of that yes or no appears to boil down to a speed adaptation problem, I learned.
What I do know is that we have the capacities to innovate. That in times of urgent need, we are able to set aside our idiocies and cooperate across borders, cultures and walks of life. Which is why I for one want to stay tuned to what is happening with the big circus. Hence this page. The point of the posts you see here is to cultivate a constructive spirit and to stay open to positive surprises. Should the lights be switched off while you are reading or while I am writing, well so be it. Doesn’t mean to me it was not worth to try. Happy reading.
